A case of Suspected Osteoarthritis

This is an online elog book to discuss our patient data after taking her concent this also reflects my patient centred online learning portfolio 

Case sheet:A 60year old male admitted in hospital due to continuous Lower back ache , lowe limb pain (bilateral),bilateral knee pain since 4months 
 
History of present illness:patient was apparently asymptomatic 4 months back then he developed pain of both lower limbs  which is insidious and progressed gradually
Patient visited local government hospital and took the medicines before 2months 
Pain was subsided only when he is on medication 
Type of pain: dull aching , pricking type 
Radiating from both hips to ankles
Relieving factors - medication
Aggrevating factors -work 

History of past illness : Patient is not a known case of hypertension , diabetes mellitus,TB, epilepsy 

Family history:not significant

Personal history:Patient is conscious and moderate in built 
Occupation :Labourer and farmer 
Diet.       :    mixed
Appetite. ;decreased
Sleep.      : sleeplessness
Micturition.: decreased urine output 
Bowels.     :regular 
Alcohol.     :Daily -90ml per day since 30years
Smoking.    :1pack /15beedi per day since 18yrs 

General examination:
Palor-No
Icterus-no
Cyanosis-no
Clubbing-no
Lymphadenopathy-No
Edema.                -No
Investigations: 
Hemogram 
Test for RA factor 
X-ray ( bilateral knees)

Provisional diagnosis:  Suspected case of Osteoarthritis of bilateral Knees

Treatment:
Questions: What foods prevent joint pains ?
Is joint pains are due to heavy work?
